A JOURNEY INTO AWAKENING with Ravi Kaur
This weekend Ravi (Itta) will be running the first of six workshops that will be looking at DEPTH healing through the lenses of the chakras.
The workshops will build on each other but can also stand alone as a single healing experience that opens up insights and awareness that can last well into the future, shaping healing and understanding and creating new behaviours. In short, these workshops are designed to be transformational in the individual as well as in the group energy in our lives.
R1000 if paid before 29 March – thereafter R1250

We will be starting with the fourth chakra, heart, as the centre point between the two triangles of the lower and higher chakras.
The lower chakras (basic, sex and navel) are connected to things of the earth; the upper chakras (throat, third eye, crown and aura) are connected to things of the heavens and the heart chakra deals with the self. It is the pivotal point, the rainbow bridge, between the chakra systems below and above, the reconnection between heaven and earth. Work that brings understanding and insight into heart chakra issues reverberates through the lower and upper systems, balancing and clearing these as the shifts in the heart chakra begin to happen.
The heart chakra is about loving and being loved. It is about union. We live in a culture based on separation, from Nature, each other and God. The abuses we suffer as children are travesties of love, not a complete absence of love but an absence of healthy love. We know nothing about healthy love, we have a hard time creating it in our lives, and we run away when we do find it.
The balanced characteristics of the heart chakra are compassion, loving care, empathy, self-love, altruism, peace, balance, a good immune system. An out-of-balance heart chakra can manifest as being antisocial, withdrawn, cold, critical, judgemental, intolerant of self or others, illness, loneliness, isolation, depression, fear of intimacy, fear of relationships, fear of having a loving relationship, lack of empathy, and narcissism. These can give rise to issues such as co-dependency, poor boundaries, neediness, being demanding, clinging, jealous and/or overly sacrificing.
THE HEALING WORK
All the chakras are interconnected, so to work with one chakra is to work with them all, and to be blocked in one chakra is to carry residues of that blockage in all the expressions of the chakras. We will work in a small group of women who will begin to form a healing circle for the self and for the other in the circle. In this first workshop we will begin to forge the dynamics that will enable this healing circle. We will work singly, in pairs and in a group, always sensitively feeling out the most appropriate format for the issues that will emerge in the healing circle. The healing circle will always determine the pace of the healing as well as the format.
Ravi has devised this series of workshops using
ϖ body language (somatic psychology)
ϖ movement and bioenergetic exercises (postures, exercises and gestures for the purpose of releasing locked energy and stimulating verbal expression)
ϖ sound (chanting and voice unblocking exercises)
ϖ art (visual expressions of internal states)
ϖ visualisation (guided dreaming and imaging new states in the body)
ϖ kundalini yoga and meditations (as taught by Yogi Bhajan, designed to release energy blocks in the body)
ϖ meditations from different philosophies (carefully chosen to complement the emotional releasing and unblocking)
ϖ and careful reflection with and to each other (gently guided and monitored by Ravi).
This work will be enacted in the circle as a group, in pairs or in solitary musing and journaling so as to uncover a new path forward based on what is revealed in the sessions. There will be time between the workshops to integrate the insights and to practice living the integration in daily life. The approximate interval between workshops will be two months.
