Power through Ease | A yoga work-in with Brett Wearne
Brett Wearne is a physiotherapist of 20 years, and certified Vijnana Yoga instructor, living on the West Coast of British Columbia, Canada. It is his intention that you will understand through some of the teachings in this Yoga workshop that strength and power can come through ease, and through letting go. Do you remember as a child one of your parents or school teachers telling you to stand up straight, pull your shoulders back or lift your chest – and do you think this a helpful instruction to give to a child? What if our ideal posture comes without any lifting, squeezing or adjusting? This short workshop will help you to understand how to do your Yoga practice with greater ease, emphasising core strength and opening the back-body. The primary teachings will help you apply these principles of alignment and awareness to any posture or asana. Some pranayama breathing will also be covered.
