Habit 4 – Breath Body Practices with Nina Saacks

08/10/2021

So this is where I have to come clean, be honest and admit the truth.

It’s not something I do lightly, or easily. But I have decided that for you to get to know me a little better I feel being truthful and letting you know exactly who I am and where I stand is more beneficial than coming across as someone who has everything waxed!

As a Yoga teacher and practitioner it is the one practice I have struggle with time and again. I sometimes feel super motivated and love doing a morning Yoga practice, then I go through days, weeks and even months where I couldn’t bring myself to get onto my mat to do one Yoga posture, one breathing practice or one simple meditation.

For years I used to beat myself up about it. I felt like a Yoga-fraud, I would get upset, get down about it, especially when I would see all those facebook and instagram posts of pretty Yogis doing some fancy poses where it looked like they had all the motivation and inspiration in the world.

I’ve been teaching Yoga for nearly 20 years now and this is one of the biggest challenges I’ve faced in my whole Yoga-career. It is still something that is a work-in-progress, but I have a much calmer and more loving attitude towards it now. I don’t feel like I have to force it. It’s coming more naturally :-)

I have managed to change/ shift the goal post and I can now say that I have a regular morning Breath, Body Practice in place. It may not be as I envisioned it, it may not be perfect, but guess what…. It works for me, my body and it makes me happy.

It puts me in the right frame of mind for the day and I can definitely tell the days I don’t do my little practice the more challenging my day is. They days I start my day right, the smoother, the easier and the more focused I am.

Start small, start SUPER easy and start with what you enjoy. If you’re like me and have or do struggle with this, then be sure to schedule a chat with me. Let’s discuss this morning Yoga-fraud-like feeling and see what we can do about it.

I’d love to help and get you out of that mindset – Once I managed to get myself out of it, it moved worlds!

So book a chat with me, so that I can help you set up a Body Breath Practice that suites your schedule and lifestyle.
